Após um ano ausente, Game of Thrones voltou a levar o prêmio de melhor série drama. Enquanto isso, Claire Foy desbancou Elisabeth Moss ao vencer o prêmio de melhor atriz em série dramática. Ryan Murphy, por sua vez, voltou a atacar vencendo melhor série limitada com American Crime Story.
