Sempre marcado por confirmações e surpresas, a noite revelou o favoritismo de La La Land: Cantando Estações na corrida por prêmios em 2017. O filme dirigido e escrito por Damien Chazelle levou todos os 7 prêmios dos quais concorria, incluindo filme de comédia ou musical, roteiro e direção.
